Soothe your skin with regenerative facial oil

Wisconsin winters are hard on the skin! Cold, windy days leave your skin chapped. And indoor heating further dries out your skin. Instead of adding extra layers of lotion that could contain petrochemicals or cause breakouts, you can make your own natural winter skincare products.

This natural recipe is a favorite of ours. The ingredients are easy to find here in Madison. In fact, we may have most of them in stock. If we don’t have it, we can place an order for you.

This natural winter facial oil can reduce inflammation, improve skin regeneration, and promote faster healing. It’s good for treating damaged, normal/dry and combination skin on the face. You can also use it to treat stretch marks and spider veins.

To make your own natural winter skincare:

  1. In a 10ml roller bottle add:

2. Shake well.

3. Swipe the roller ball along your face and neck.

4. Lightly massage the oil into your skin.

Other ways to improve your skin tone during winter:

Drink more water! It’s easy to become dehydrated in the winter. If drinking water makes you feel too cold, skip the ice and enjoy it room temperature. Try a cup of herbal tea instead of one of your cups of coffee.

Sit in the infrared sauna for 15-20 minutes. This sauna heats your body from the inside out. It’s a very different experience from traditional saunas that heat the air around you.

Try facial cupping. Your therapist will use smaller cups to gently lift your skin and fascia. People who regularly receive facial cupping notice the skin under their eyes appears tighter and less dark. Facial cupping can also help move lymphatic fluids and reduce swelling and puffiness. (And no, you will not be left with red circles on your face!)
