Fitness Class Descriptions

A.M.P.T. (A.M./morning Physical Training)

Start your day off AM.PT.: up-regulate your metabolism, charge your systems, and prime your body and mind for peak performance throughout the day with this exhilarating aerobic class.

You'll start with a flexibility routine to warm up your body and progressively raise your heart rate. Add in bodyweight, TRX, resistance bands, kettlebell, and jump rope, to build strength and endurance. You’ll move fast and sweat hard, a great way to start your day!

Your instructor uses his experience as an Industrial Sports Medical Professional, a role that involves armoring up America’s workers with the tools they need to have a healthy quality of life both in and out of work. He enjoys honoring this early morning tradition of “getting after it” and looks forward to working with those who move forward into the day with an edge, sharp and ready.

Your instructor will scale the workouts and movements to your fitness level in this supportive group setting.

Alignment Yoga

This class focuses on precise alignment of postures and will help you calm and quiet your mind. Props will be used extensively to help students assume postures based on their physical limitations or challenges. This class helps bring breath and life force into parts of the bodies that are restricted due to lifestyles or physical challenges. All levels are welcome.

All Levels Yoga

This custom tailored class leads you through a range of sequences based on Vinyasa style. Each class can include movements that enhance your strength, flexibility, balance & concentration in dynamic sequences, or can be a more gentle yoga class, combining breath & movement in a supportive and safe environment. She loves collaborating with the students when they walk in the door to curate a custom class that's specific to the needs of everyone in the room.

Body Mechanics and Functional Movement

Have fun and improve your coordination, balance and grounding with a variety of movements designed to challenge you. Strengthen your mind/body connection to get the most out of each movement and to translate your new skills to every day life.

This highly personalized, supportive class will focus on bodyweight movements, kettlebell, TRX, resistance bands, medicine balls, and stability balls. Your instructor draws on his experience as a PE teacher for people with early-childhood motor dysfunction disorders, and as a therapist for seniors in post-injury rehabilitation. You will be given provide modifications for each exercise, so you can get the most out of this class for your fitness level.

This class has it all: TRX, kettlebells, battle ropes and more! By combining strength training and cardio, you’ll sweat hard, see results and have fun. Coach Dakota will check form and provide modifications for anyone. Make sure you get to every class because every time the workout will be different.

Circuit Training

Don’t blink or you’ll miss it! This fast-paced 60 minute class will keep you on your toes and leave you wondering how the last hour went by so quickly. This class will include a wide variety of movement and various stations. You’ll move from one exercise to the next with short rest periods built in to catch your breath.

Core Training

There are more ways to train your core muscles than just sit ups. Come to Core Training and find out how. Everyone can benefit from a strong core! It gives you better balance and posture, and helps prevent back injuries.

Mat Pilates

Tone and strengthen your body—especially your abdominals, back and hips—with Mat Pilates. Pilates combines specific movements, stretches, and held poses with intentional focus on breathing and body positioning to strengthen your core muscles. A stronger core is beneficial for scoliosis, improving poor posture, and relieving back and neck pain.
Pilates can help increase your flexibility while also offering joint support to those with hyper mobile joints. You’ll develop better balance, which can help reduce your risk of injury.
Pilates is also helpful for people with anxiety and depression. The focus and connection of breath to movement means you'll often leave class feeling more mentally focused, more mindful, and more resilient to stress. The mind-body-breath connection that pilates encourages you to both calm and energize your body from the inside out.

Pro Strength and Conditioning

Improve your strength and endurance in this class inspired by NCAA workouts and Pro/Olympic athletes. Deepen your knowledge of proper form and body mechanics to prevent injury and get the greatest benefit out of every movement.

With no choreography or complicated steps to follow, this class will incorporate bodyweight exercises, TRX bands, dumbbells, and plyo boxes. Your instructor will provide modifications for each exercise, so you can get the most out of this class for your fitness level.

Private Instruction / Personal Training with Anna

Private Pilates sessions with Anna will include a discussion of past movement experiences, current concerns, and personal goals. She will work with you through specific Pilates exercises using props and accessory equipment to challenge and support you. Private sessions will equip you with an even deeper understanding of your own body--an understanding that can be carried into group classes and will influence your everyday movements and awareness.

Private Instruction / Personal Training with Dakota

In 1-on-1 and small group private training with Dakota, you can expect a new found love of coming to the gym. Dakota has experienced many forms of fitness and loves getting you connected to the type of fitness practice that will excite you to come back into the gym. Dakota will challenge you physically and mentally to bring out the best version of yourself. Dakota's goal is to make sure those who work with him leave feeling accomplished and smiling. Let Dakota know what your goals and watch them become reality!

Private Instruction / Personal Training with Zafir

What are your goals? In our one-on-one sessions, I will help you achieve your individual fitness goals and overcome your challenges. I have experience working in both the clinical and non-clinical setting, helping people outline their objectives and creating programs to help them achieve success.

Yin Yoga

This is a mindful and meditative practice that helps quiet the mind and soothe the nervous system. This class focuses on the deep fascia and connective tissue as well as the meridians of the body. All poses are done on the floor and are held for a considerable amount of time to allow the body to open up as you learn to use your breath to relax and surrender.  All levels welcome.
