Drop In to Downtown Madison Community Acupuncture at Resolution Health

Community acupuncture makes it possible for more people to experience the benefits of acupuncture. Not only is it more affordable ($40 instead of $80+ for a private session), but receiving treatment in a group setting can feel less intimidating for people new to acupuncture.

Instead of the acupuncturist treating only one patient per hour, in community acupuncture, the acupuncturist provides individualized treatment to several people in the same room.

We’re excited to offer this affordable and enriching model of acupuncture to our clients as we introduce community acupuncture to downtown Madison.

Thursdays from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Only $40 — Drop in or Book online

What is group acupuncture like?

Every person remains fully clothed for their treatment. Patients will lie on massage tables that are spaced throughout our treatment room. Up to four people will receive treatments at the same time.

While you wait for your session to begin, take some time to relax and breathe deeply. The acupuncturist will spend one-on-one time with you, speaking quietly with you before beginning your treatment.

Just like in a private session, your acupuncturist will feel your pulse and may look at your tongue before placing the needles. Because you’ll be fully clothed, she may ask you to roll up your sleeves or pants and remove your socks so she can access specific treatment points. (That’s why we recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothes. You may also bring a change of clothes–we have private changing rooms.)

Once she has placed the acupuncture needles, she’ll make sure you’re comfortable and warm, will note the time, and then move on to the next person.

After the acupuncture needles have been in place for about 45 minutes, your acupuncturist will remove and discard the needles. She may give you additional counsel about herbal supplements that will continue to promote balance in your body. And she may recommend you return for a series of treatments to fully address your concerns.

Acupuncture, whether done in a group setting or in a private exam room, requires more than just a single session to address areas of imbalance and pain in your body.

Drop In Community Acupuncture Schedule

We want to make it easy for you! That’s why we offer several ways for you to receive acupuncture treatments.

Our group / community acupuncture clinic is on Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. It’s held in our large treatment room in the Resolution Fitness Studio, Suite 404B.

You can book online ahead of time to reserve a time slot. Or you can simply show up and join the waiting list. As always, you’ll have filtered water or hot tea to sip in our relaxing waiting room.

If you prefer a private session or need to make an appointment at a different time, you can still schedule an acupuncture appointment. You can do this on our website or by calling our office.
